Tragic events…..

Ok yall, for those that do not know me I am a very OCD person. I must have my day planned out and if anything changes I freak out. WELL, on Thursday  after my amazing math conference my planner broke! The spiral will not stay spiraled and the pages are falling out. This horrible tragic event has thrown me in a tizzy the last few days, so today I thought I would remedy this and find me a new planner.  I looked in every store I could think of and I still did not find my perfect planner. I am really wanting to get a Filofax  because they are customizable and don’t have a spiral. But I have fallen in love with the Erin Condren life planners. I did decide to go with the Erin Condren life planner, but I am thinking that in a few months I may take the coil out and put the planner in a Filofax. I will give the coil until the end on January to prove it’s worthiness! I placed my order today to get my platinum  life planner for $70, so I should get it the week of Veterans Day. This seems like a long time to wait on a planner and a lot of money. But the company is here in America and nothing is outsourced which is important to me and evey planner is 100% unique because you can put your name and pictures on it.

Pay off

Well so far my blog is keeping me pretty much true to my word. Last week I lost 8 pounds on paleo so hopefully this weekend i will lose another one or two pounds I don’t expect big weight loss because last weekend  I lost so much. I’m still enjoying the food but I really want some pork chops hopefully I’ll get some this weekend and some weight loss news on Sunday for weigh in day. Work is stressful, grad school is stressful but I’m really enjoying my apples in my almonds they make me smile at the end of the day. Fingers crossed I didn’t gain any weight this week.

What a Friday of yumminess

Ok I admit it I may have a fruity pebble problem that I’m not ready to give up yet. Yes I had it for breakfast again. And really if cereal is the one bad thing I eat it will be ok. Lol

Lunch was great though I had left overs from last night.  I chopped a hamburger up and added broccoli sprouts,  edamame,  cilantro,  and lettuce.  I also took half an avacado it it was amazing!!!!

I did pack to much with the apple, carrots and melon.  But that’s ok maybe I will try something new and eat them for breakfast instead of cereal lol…..

Yes I took a picture of the bottom of the salad so you can see how pretty real food is. 🙂

Just a note keep the seed with the avacado to keep it from turning brown.

I will say I went a little over board for dinner.  I made a shrimp boil with corn and potatoes and paleo sausage.  Again yes I know corn is not paleo but I have an over stock of fresh corn from the season so I have to use it.

It was nice to have a little bit of a fancy meal. Lol. Oh I almost forgot I put old bay in the boil.

How can you not like that.  The steam made it a little blurry,  sorry. 

I know people don’t care about what I eat for dinner but I am using this to hold myself accountable.  When I weigh in on Sunday I guess it will show if its working or not.  Happy Friday Everyone!!!!

Good day part 2

So some how I forgot about dinner in the other post. I had a burger with no bun. Then I decided to fill out my dinner with all the fixings. I had lettuce,  tomatoes, broccoli sprouts, avacado, edamame and grilled onion. It was very tasty and very light so Im not going to bed on a full stomach.  I think I have a new love affair with broccoli sprouts lol.

Good day

I started today a little slow with a migraine that never went away. No I didn’t start the day out great with my bowl of fruity pebbles but I turned it around with lunch and snacks.

For lunch I had a salad with bibb lettuce,  broccoli sprouts,  corn (left over from yesterday), tomatoes and edamame. So yummy!

For snacks I had grapes that I ended up eating with lunch. My morning snack was raw almonds, dried cranberries and raw coca covered acai berries (I didn’t eat it all). I even packed an apple in case I needed a little more something sweet since I was taking those doughnuts to my class today. (So excited I resisted the temptation to eat one.)

Oh yeah I also packed carrots that I didn’t eat. They were suppose to go with lunch.

I’m feeling stronger and less depressed since going back paleo. Maybe this time since I can tell the difference in the way I feel I will be able to make it a perminate change. 🙂

Temptation

So…. I promised my core 3 Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

I went to the store and bought 3 dozen doughnuts for my class. I really really wanted one but I decided I was just thirsty and ordered a water instead if eating a doughnut.

I was a little skeptical but the water did the trick. I did not eat a doughnut. 🙂 It was another great healthy day. I had eggs for breakfast, a salad with chicken and grapes for lunch and tilapia with corn for dinner (and yes I know corn is not paleo but it is organic and fresh)

Hopefully the junk food with drawl will end in the next few weeks. 🙂 keeping the faith.

So glad summer is over

Most people love summer. They look forward to it. I am not a fan of summer. I am a teacher I love to work and stay busy, it’s who I am. This summer was the most horrible  summer I have ever had. I usually get depressed but for some reason it was really bad this year. I did not get out of bed or leave the house except for about 5 times in the 60 days that I had off work. Because I was so depressed I looked to food for comfort and gained alot of weight back. I am back to work now and I am not as depressed as I was in the summer. I am getting busy again and enjoying every minute of the chaos. I have decide to go back paleo and this time John has decided to do it with me.
Yesterday I had eggs paleo sausage and strawberries for breakfast.

For my lunch yesterday I had a salad with steak. (Sorry no picture) for my snack I had raw almonds, dried cranberries, and dark chocolate covered berries.

And for dinner I had a hamburger patty with tomato and lettuce. (Sorry no picture). It was all so yummy. I almost for got how pretty real food is. 🙂 hopefully I will be back to myself soon. In the mean time I will enjoy my amazing real food and being busy.
